Upper Edge of the Sun brightens up as hundreds gathered.

The Lenten season has always been a memorable occasion for me to celebrate the risen Christ, His victory over death to sin and alive in Christ. And so as I meditate with you now, to celebrate this most fitting moment of partaking the joy that all Christians have been given the right to enjoy  being the children of God in [Rom 1:12], let us all the more exalt God and put Him in the highest pedestal of glory.

Last year at this time of the year, my family opted to go to Manila for a much deserved vacation, travelling to places we haven’t been, to where we wanted to mingle and minister with long forgotten and sick relatives and spend time with children. It is this time of the year in the Philippines where people jam the airports and bus stations to travel anywhere in the country.

It so happened that I am in Muscat this time and it’s truly a blessing that the government allow religious freedom to be exercised thus, allowing many people from many nations, about 42 nationalities to converge and to fellowship with one another in our Ghala church.Today at the instant at which the upper edge of the sun appears on the horizon in the morning, hundreds gathered, to hear a beautiful Easter sunday message by the Pastor. There is hope on the Road of Despair.Up from the grave Jesus rose again. And as he stands in victory, sin’s curse has lost its grip on us.Before I close this message I would like to quote a verse from the  bible wherein Jesus foretold about His resurrection.

“See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.”Matthew 20:18-19 ESV

Sitting about 20 rows behind this wide-open field on a beautiful early sunday morning in Muscat to fellowship as the upper edge of the sun begins to glitter from the horizon.
